Friday Favs (4.26.24)

Hi friends!

It has been a busy week and ya’ll I am so glad that it is Friday! From friends visiting to lots of work stuff and a dog surgery thrown in the middle, my brain has been on overdrive trying to get everything done and focus on the important stuff too.

This weekend we are headed to Disney to celebrate the girls birthday’s and to say we are all excited is an understatement. We decided that for each of their birthday’s they would get their day for gifts and dinner and to be special all alone and then do one weekend between their birthdays for Disney. With their birthday’s so close together and this season and time of year being so busy if felt like the best solution and they were both totally up for it and can’t wait to celebrate together!

Anyways, onto this weeks favorites as I link back up with Erika and Andrea for another addition of Friday Favorites!

(Outfit Linked Here)

First up, I had gotten out of the habit of getting up early and prioritizing working out and doing my quiet time but I knew that to be the best version of me I needed this to happen again.

So this is week 2 that I have been up bright and early and keeping the promise to myself. I mean, 5:15 AM comes early and by 9:00 PM I am toast but it is so worth it!

Last weekend we headed out onto the boat and that was definitely a favorite. We live for boat days and that family time and as the weather is changing the wind is calming down and it is making for the perfect boat weather.

If you are ever in the area, Anna Maria Island on a boat is just priceless.

Cuties! I love spending time with them and I love that we have prioritized weekends as family versus weekends running them around to friends, it has made such a difference in our family life and something I know I will never regret.

Recently, I started back on my sourdough journey! I got this warmer from Sourhouse to help regulate the temperature of the dough (it is super sensitive to temperature if you didn’t know) and I also ordered a new starter from Acts of Sourdough after accidentally killing mine by trying to warm it in the oven.

If you are wanting to start your own sourdough journey, I have shared a bunch of mine on IG stories HERE. It is saved under a highlight bubble called “Sourdough”.

Another favorite this past week was doing a pop up for Shop Rooted and Free at the UTC Night Market.

May is going to be a busy pop up month so I took April kind of slow in regards to events but it was a beautiful night and the music was amazing, such a fun time. If you are local, this pop is on the green at UTC Mall and happens on the third Thursday of each month and it’s. a great time for the family!

Dress from Rooted and Free Linked Here

We launched new arrivals yesterday at Shop Rooted and Free and I just love this dress so much. I am showing my age here but to style it I wore sandals and a big turquoise necklace (I forgot to take a picture except on IG and it expired lol) and ya’ll, I felt like Mrs. Roper from Three’s Company. Anyone remember that show? I always loved her style and outfits and all day long it is all I thought about, ha!

The best part, yesterday I was feeling so bloated and blah and I put this dress on and instantly felt put together without fuss when my stomach was upset and I didn’t feel my best in clothes. A win-win for sure!

One of my favs has been a new IG series I am going on the boutique’s page. You can find them by clicking on the pictures above but, basically it is a weekly longer form video where we are just catching up and chatting. No expiring stories. No cut offs. Just chatting about Rooted and Free and catching up.

Favorite outfits from the week. The athletic outfit is sold out, but the floral top and denim shorts outfit can be found here.

I loved them back and while they are totally different looks, I felt comfortable and pulled together in both.

Last and certainly not a favorite is out sweet Oakley got spayed on Wednesday and she just looks so pitiful. She is my favorite but seeing her in pain and with that cone on just broke my heart.

I ordered her this surgical onsie and that has been nice to be able to take the cone off so she can be more comfortable and she looks cute too! We are praying this heals quickly and that she is back to her spunky self soon!

Alright friends, that is it from me. I am off to grab the girls from school and then, we are starting our weekend! I hope whatever you have planned you find time to rest, recharge and spend time doing something you love with those you love!
